Why I Don't Love My UCF

The Unmet Expectations

As a student at the University of Central Florida, I was initially excited to be part of such a large and diverse community. However, as time went on, I began to feel overwhelmed by the sheer size of the campus and the lack of personalized attention from professors.

I had expected a more intimate learning environment where my instructors would take an active interest in my progress and provide tailored guidance. Instead, I found myself struggling to get help when I needed it most.

The High Cost of Education

Another major issue I have with my UCF experience is the exorbitant cost of tuition. As someone who had to take out multiple loans just to cover living expenses, it's hard for me to justify the astronomical prices charged by this institution.

I understand that universities need to generate revenue, but I believe there must be a better way to balance financial needs with student well-being.

The Search for Authenticity

Despite my initial enthusiasm, I've come to realize that UCF is not the place where I can truly be myself. The emphasis on social media presence and superficial connections has led me to feel like just another faceless student in a sea of thousands.

I yearn for an environment where students are encouraged to explore their passions and interests without fear of judgment or rejection.
